More than I should have…
..and kind of glad when it was done. Very tired today and it seemed I was working extra hard the whole way. Somehow my Garmin paused itself right after I started it and I didn’t catch it right until I reached the five mile mark. Lately my average for the first split has easily been 18mph so I calculated that in and added the miles to my total mileage. Pretty trivial but being that I’m short on miles already I don’t need to cheat myself when I get some in. Very glad I was able to start 1/2 hour early as I just manged to beat a nasty T-storm that was on the way. Time to eat. This one took it out of me.

Friday burn
If there is a good thing about working extra during the week it is that I can cut my Friday short. Since I had a little extra time on the front end I decided to plug in a few more miles. Erik also was riding today, but couldn’t get started quite as soon as I did, but because I added about 10 more miles it worked out to where I caught up to him on his return trip. Still not on track with where I’d like/ought to be, but all in all a good ride. Avg HR a tad high. Cadence OK.

Better than anticipated.
Seems like things have fallen back into the old schedule where my available ride times don’t mix with the other guys and I’m back to a solo routine. Oh well. Really nice day today and with the weekend schedule / weather not looking too good I decided that a few more miles were in order. As I do many times I "plan" to take it easy. Today I was at least partially successful. Good ride.

Beat the rain, but not the wind.
Still trying to get my rhythm back but with it being a bit breezy today it was way off. My HR monitor was way out of whack for the first half of the first split. I guess I hadn’t started sweating enough for it to work right. I’m pretty sure I didn’t hit a 250 HR…
