P90X-63 Xstretch

After my bike ride I had a bit of a break before hooking up with Jim and Syndie for some stretching.   As usual, it was much needed.   Although a good routine it can still be dull if you’re on your own.  A little bit of cutting up and yacking just makes it go better.   Had some peanut gallery action when their son Jay stopped in for a minute, but it was a good distraction.   Followed the routine BSing with my pals for a little bit.  Thanks for hanging out with me guys.   :D

Neighborhood sunset spin

Just barely got this one in. Not as warm as I would have liked but it was dry and still warm enough. Geared up appropriately and hit the neighborhood. Not the best time to ride with the sun so low it’s tough to see, and with so many intersections that had me being doubly careful. It was the right move as there was an extra ration of crappy / rude drivers out today.  Worked plenty hard and was just a few seconds off of my last ride on this route.

P90X-61 Leg Back AbX

I could’ve used a little more sleep, but I wasn’t hating life this morning at least.  It was nice to be able to shed my jacket before the warmups were done and was plenty warm by the end of them.   I felt bad for Syndie because she had a headache, but she’s a trooper and dove in anyway.   It was a good solid workout overall with no loss of ground anywhere along the way.  Both Syndie and I are bringing it on AbX and each have our points of overachieving.   Big thumbs up to her for 60 mason twists at the end.  I say I did 70 weighted, she says 80… I say at least one of us can’t count.   :D

Neighborhood spin too

Almost a carbon copy day from Monday. I rode the same route, but I managed to ride it a little better…more relaxed perhaps? At any rate enjoyed getting out for a roll in the nice weather. The temps will drop a bit for a week or so and rain in the mix. Yeah, I "could" ride on a couple of them perhaps if I gear up for them. It could happen! Just don’t hold your breath waiting for it. :)

P90X-57 Shoulders Arms AbX

Started out dragging pretty bad this morning, and again, if I didn’t have someone waiting on me I would have bailed out.   Once things got rolling it got better.   Stuck to the weights I used on the last round of this but upped the reps on a few exercises.  I actually lost count on crunchy frogs so I just kept doing them until I was sure I had done enough.  Syndie says I did extra.   Got a few seconds head start on the mason twists and did them until the clock stopped…weighted.

So, with not much going on today and the temperature rising to the upper 60s, with sun I figured I would get a short ride in. I had no expectations to do anything amazing, I just wanted to get a few miles in. The legs let me know I hadn’t been out in a while. it was good to get one in.

P90X-57 Chest Back AbX

Back to this again.  Syndie and I both have the day off for the holiday, so we didn’t have to get up at 4:30 AM and pushed it up to a 6 AM workout instead of 5 AM.   Good thing because I stayed up late watching football and was plenty sleepy.   I pretty much maintained where I was at, maybe upped a few pullups, but over all not a lot of change.   My arms still felt like noodles even after doing the AbX piece.

P90X-54 on day 55 Core

Yeah, this had to be delayed.   I was in no condition to do it Friday morning.  Syndie was flexible in being able to do it  Saturday, so that’s what we did.  Selective memory had me forgetting how really hard this routine can be.   Had my workout partner on facetime though, so no bailing out.   Some things just don’t seem to get easier, but worked hard and got through it and was thoroughly smoked at the end.

P90X-50 XStretch

Yes, this is NOT what is on the transition week schedule.  But it was what we put on our schedule.   We missed doing stretch on Sunday.   Football is important don’cha know?  Both Syndie and I were still feeling the effects of our Saturday Legs n Back routine and agreed stretch would be a far better thing to do.   Syndie’s hubby Jim usually does the Xstretch with us so we invited him again today too.  Evidently he was noticing a need for some stretching himself, so it all worked out well.  Lots of groaning an chuckling in each others misery/relief.   As far as I was concerned it was a very good choice to do the stretch as anything else would have just been a hateful routine.  Felt pretty good when it was through.
