P90X-8 Chest Back AbX

For some reason I was suuuuper sleepy and groggy this morning.  Syndie seemed to be in the same boat.   We were well into the routine before I got warmed up enough to actually perform at any level of intensity.  After that it seemed to go alright.   AbX is AbX…

P90X-7 Xstretch

Friday’s legs and back routine did a number on my legs and butt!   Yeow!   All day Saturday I was feeling it and it wasn’t a great deal better Sunday. Stretch was definitely in order.  Syndie wasn’t doing much better so I hooked up with her and Jim and we all groaned and moaned our way through the routine.  I think I was lead groaner.  It did help me feel a great deal better.

P90X-3 Shoulders Arms AbX

Poor Syndie… she was so sick and wiped out she just couldn’t make it for this one.  She has worked out quite a few times with sinus headaches and other stuff, (and was miserable too), so I felt bad for her if she was too sick to even show up.   As it was I went after this workout hard.  Not so much in how much weight I moved, but more in the pace at which I did the workout.  Since I’ve done this a few times I pretty much knew the moves and just followed the sheet for the next sets.   The video was running in the background just for some stupid noise.    I ended up dropping 20 minutes from the whole routine.  Five of that was from AbX alone, which is only 15 minutes in itself.  Needless to say, I was smoked by the end.   One of the few routines you can truly get away with this from start to finish.

P90X-1 Chest Back AbX starting over

Phhhh….  Syndie and I both had life issues interrupt us over the last two months to the point we couldn’t hook up for workouts.   Things just went phhhht.  Anyway, it seems stuff has quieted at little and we decided to give the morning schedule a try as the after work schedule wasn’t to consistent.  Even though both admonished each other not to hurt ourselves we both still put in a good effort for this workout.  It was all about getting back at it without blowing ourselves up right out of the box.  We’ll see how it goes.

Had to cut it short.

Did some bike maintenance today, but evidently didn’t have a spoke nut tight enough so it loosened and came off inside the rim, which of course left a spoke completely without tension and my wheel got a wobble in it. Super nice day otherwise. No wind at all and great temps. At least I’ll be able to correct the issue.

P90X StretchX

After the bike ride there was no doubt I needed to do this.   Hooked up with Jim n Syndie for it.   We weren’t very coordinated on our time schedule, but figured it out.  Stretch was stretch, complete with the requisite groaning for some of the moves.  Felt better for doing it.  Thanks guys.

Reality check!!!

Actually a reality confirmation. I knew this was going to be rough today, but I still had to give it a go. Mid 70s and sunny. Everyone and his brother was out riding today. It was like when you kick a fire ant hill and they come rushing out. That’s what it was like with cyclists today. They were everywhere. I even rode along with another guy I had caught up to for a little ways until we split directions. It was pretty funny to actually pull into the sign in/out point again at the same time. I’ll be paying for this tomorrow probably, but it was still a great day for a ride.

Yet another crazy warm day!

Hard to believe we were in the 40s 10 days ago, then a bunch of warmer days and only one day that just made it to the 50s in between. Otherwise, the warm temp switch has been flipped. 81° today. Quite windy due to a rain front coming in. Weather says wind gusts of 20 mph… huh, must be the long version of a "gust" ’cause it sure felt like it was 20 mph for the whole ride. Sometimes helping, sometimes not. It’s a guessing game on just how hard I want to push when going into it. Messes with me nonetheless, but not nearly as much as the idiot that backed out of their driveway right in front of me.   Evidently super bright flashing headlights are not enough to clue people in?  I need to get myself together and start riding on the fort again.   :(
